Beer Garden at Riverpark

Nice out door beer garden overlooking the east river and Greenpoint. Friendly staff. Bar games nice bar food - we got the burgers which are simple but really hit the spot.

I'd been meaning to try the beer garden part of River Park for awhile. Mostly just to play with the oversized Jenga games they leave on the park benches.

We tried going on a weeknight evening but it was totally packed with people and all the benches were full.

We didn't order anything too fancy, cheeseburger with crisps and churros with chocolate sauce. The burger was very plain and not as good as the one from the main restaurant. The churros were nice though. The food cost is much cheaper than the restaurant though, hence the quality isn't as good.

You go to a small bar to order your food and drinks, get a numbered flag and someone brings you your order.

If you're there just for drinks, some snacks and hanging out for the nice view it's really good. But food and drink wise it's not that brilliant. Think I'll stick to the main restaurant.
