Perfecto Pizza

Was told by my aunt who loves in Manhattan to go there to break my pizza fast. She was not wrong.

"Pizza" to me, means NY style pizza, so when we visited friends on the upper west side, I wanted to try "for-real-NY-pizza" and kind of randomly chose this place, which was near their apartment. It was honestly the best NY style pizza I'd had in a long time, or maybe ever (I used to live in upstate NY, and it was pretty good there, but not quite this good). If I lived there, this would be my weekly pizza spot. It's not gourmet, but then NY style isn't supposed to be. Salty, oily, nice crust. Good stuff. SUPER hot in the shop, you probably want to eat outside, or take it back to your place.

We got two pizzas, one regular and one gluten free. It’s really hard to find a good gluten free pizza. It was a really great pizza. It was nice to share pizza with friends.

Pizza counter seems like afterthought to adjoining gyro place. Plain slice was large, crisp and cheesy. An effective drunk slice (they're open late) but I wouldn't make the trip when I need my qaulity NY slice fix, esp with Sal and Carmine up the way.
