A thrilling dinner in the most intimate surroundings possible. Belle Harlem brings a la carte dining to a chef's table experience, safe in the knowledge that chef is not distracted by the rest of the restaurant. Excellent, imaginative food, and a well- chosen compact menu that suggests the options change regularly to more with the seasons ...and what's good right now. We chose nearly everything on the menu, and everything delighted our party of three. Definitely worth the short ride on the 2 or 3 line from mid town. If you're left wondering, what other jewels are there in Harlem, the answer is: plenty! Though Belle is definitely one of the best...
Intimate 12 person seating around the chef in the kitchen. We loved every dish we had. The drink options were mediocre, but all of the food was excellent. My favorite was the Cheese steak appetizer. All of the staff and the chef were friendly and happy to chat anytime things slowed down a little.
I. Loved. It. Best place I’ve been to in Harlem so far. Food was excellent, great service and music playlist! I will definitely return and highly recommend! Also best restroom I’ve been to as well! The candle was amazing!
This is a fabulous little restaurant and not only my favourite dining experience in Harlem, but perhaps all of NYC. There's only seating for about 12 around a single table in a kitchen so reserving in advance is a must. Actually, despite its tiny size, Belle is really nice from the ambience to the experience of getting to know your fellow guests (if they're friendly) while the chef prepares your meals in front of you. If you want to get the full experience of Belle you should be prepared to dine for the full 3 courses + beverages. It is definitely *not* cheap, but if you're in for a celebratory meal or looking to impress your date, You're gonna leave this place smiling from ear to ear.
Hands down our favorite place in the neighborhood. Not only is the food out of this world (seriously, it is) the entire ambiance is amazing. The staff is super friendly and you get to have fun conversation with the folks around you. You can literally see your food being made two feet away and the entire place smells outstanding. The menu changes all the time but you really cannot go wrong. The only advice is to save room for dessert!
