Of all the bars I have been to, this is one of my favorite ones, hands down, New York and beyond. Bar tenders are always up for conversation and many times will drop an interesting anecdote regarding the bar or the conversation at hand. I have eaten through about half of their menu and the food is always spot on. Never undercooked, seasoned just right. For some of the complaints I’ve seen in the reviews, I have to say, I don’t see what the problem is. This place can have a rugged feel at times, sure, but I think that’s part of its charm. I love that it’s not just another generic bar, full of generic clientele. It’s a place with character and it takes a certain type of character to enjoy it. I like it that way. I hope it never changes. Obviously these guys and gals have done something right, as evidenced by their longevity. Thanks Old Town Bar, for a space to reminisce, for a space to have a good meal, for a space to simply have a pint after a long hard day.

Excellent spot on 18 th street in Gramercy. Great service and atmosphere. We all had the burger with fries and we loved it. There is also an upstairs section. The bathrooms were a little rough but still a very nice time. Prices are reasonable for Manhattan. Would definitely recommend and return

Incredible old atmosphere! Great food, great beer. Good service. Popular for good reason. An amazing relic of old New York!
