Fresh delicious bagels, hot soups, some original cream cheese spreads, and more.... make for a nice, satisfying, quick meal. Seating for 12 ? is sufficient unless a larger group arrives all at once.
Kossar's is my favorite bagel shop in the Lower east side. I always get the everything bagel with tuna or chicken salad. They always have freshly baked bagels and challah. They have different choices for your bagel filling. Definitely go to Kossars if you want a bagel. It's a little pricey but so worth it and filling.
My wife and I were visiting NYC and had to have a bagel. Kossar's was on a top 10 list I found. Great food and service. Everyone behind the counter was friendly even with it being crazy busy. The bagels are huge and the price isn't bad at all. Especially for the amount of toppings
Went before visiting the Tenement Museum and had a delicious egg, cheese, and bacon on an onion bagel. Coffee is delicious. I've had many an egg and cheese bagel but none like this. They chop up the bacon too which added a great texture to the sandwich. Loved it. Definitely go if you're in the neighborhood (even if you aren't...make a trip!)
