The ceviche was awesome! The salmon was delicious also. Good service very nice people. Came to visit New York from Texas and this restaurant was excellent. The place is very very small but don’t matter when the rest was excellent.
Dinner was delicious and service was great. Flan was curdled, we should have skipped dessert. The space is pretty small but they make it work.
Service= 5+ star
Service= 5+ Daniella was amazing and the hostess was also awesome. Very thoughtful, very attentive, high level customer service. Everything Daniella recommended was simply amazing and mouth watering and genuinely different.
I think we found a hidden gem.
The food was great, everything we tried was simply out of this world. Definitely coming back. I am even surprised this is not taking a 5-star rating.
Keep it up!
The original La Contenta is on the Lower East Side, and it’s one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in NYC. The only problem is, it’s kind of small. Fortunately, there’s a West Village location that’s about five times larger. It isn’t quite as charming as the original, but it’s a nice space with big windows, and it’s great for groups. You can also stop by and sit at the bar for happy hour, when certain drinks and dishes are few dollars off. Even when it isn’t Happy Hour, however, this place is still pretty affordable. Try the fish tacos and guacamole, and, while it’s probably the least Mexican thing on the menu, do order the pastry-wrapped chicken wellington. It’s great.
Steak and a ton of drinks. Go for happy hour... Otherwise the drinks are Way too expensive. We use love this place but less so now because of $$.
