One of my favorite places. To sit and eat it's just a small spot with a few tables. Not good for group seating or dates but good for quiet lunches.
The usual host is a woman named Nicki who is a little guarded at first but delightful after you get to know her. She has one of those movie-like savant memories--remembers everything after just one or two interactions. The kind of person who can tell you your name and your "usual" like a TV show.
Harvest, though, is perfect for ordering out. The food is fantastic for cheaper takeout fare. My fiancée and I ordered from here sometimes weekly despite avoiding eating out, and during group hangouts Harvest became a favorite amongst my friends.
I've tried most of the things on the menu and enjoyed all of it. Seriously, you want something cheap, fast and tasty, order here (and tell Nicki Masoud from 83rd sent you).
I love the Thai food - very tasty! My husband always goes for the Chinese. Generous portions and anything we ever got was very yummy!
We've been coming here with my husband at least once a week. Food tastes great - great quality, especially compared to some other Chinese places around the neighborhood. Generous portions. Not over priced. The lady at the front desk is very nice and friendly and we always chat with her for a bit. :)
"This place is yummy. It may seem like your standard Chinese place, but the quality is definitely a notch above that. The food is prepared very quickly, and it has that ""Chinese-y"" type of spicing that makes it stand out from other local joints. The nice touch is that in addition to a full Chinese menu, they serve Thai food as well. A nice, unexpected mixture of the two cuisines that you just won't find anywhere else.
This is a standard NYC type of Chinese place. It's based entirely on take-out, and of course, there are tables and chairs in the front if you prefer to eat there. As opposed to the usual gruff service you might receive at the ordering counter at other Chinese joints, the owner here is very pleasant and a pleasure to deal with."
I discovered this hidden jewel last year when I was staying at my girlfriend's. Small but neat place. Delivery mostly but definitely can accommodate a quick dine-in. Food is authentic Chinese and generous portion. I literally have been there every time I visited my girlfriend in the past year. The lady is really nice. Recommended.
