Russ & Daughters has blessed the Lower East Side since the turn of the century. I recently learned that a purveyor of appetizers relates to food desperation for a Kosher restaurant. Either way, their fish is top notch. They have a couple of benches outside but plan on bringing it wherever you go, especially to your mother’s house!

Fish is super fresh and every bite is mouthwatering. 2 locations for sit down, one on LES and one on upper east + there is an appetizer location. Gets very busy on weekends, expect to wait an hour to eat. Try the lox, sable and caviar.
