    My family have been eating at this restaurant for years, always consistantly great tasting food with very reasonable prices. Spiced the way you want it, non-greasy breads, excellent entrees. We drive over from the westside, the food and service is that good!

    Food and service was good/fairly standard but for some reason everything we ordered was too sweet. The tandoori sauce tasted more like spicy ketchup unfortunately.

    Good Indian restaurant (one of the bests in the UES and NYC in my opinion). They don't have a buffet, but the lunch special is a good deal. I like the food, the taste and the portions. I have been going to Mumtaz for the past 5 years, the staff have always been polite and the food has consistently been pretty good.
