Food fantastic... Our server Edward was everything you could ever ask for in a waiter.. polite, professional and on point... All this during an insanely busy Friday lunch rush!!!Wow

Huge tourist attraction (especially around Christmas). There are way better bars in the area. If you like packed bars and staring at pictures of celebrities who have visited, then sure stop on in for a drink.

We visited on Christmas Adam and were looking for a place with some Christmas ambiance. We were not disappointed. They had lights on the ceiling and Christmas displays around the location. One of the oldest taverns in NY, allegedly O’Henry wrote “The Gift Of The Magi” in one of the booths inside.

We did not have a reservation but were seated pretty quickly. The server told us they are known for their burgers. We all tried one. I considered it one of the best I have had overall.

Food and service was excellent. Had one of my all time favorites, the veal meatball hero. Plenty of veal in the mixture and seasoned to my liking. Others had the salmon special which looked terrific and was told it tasted as good as it looked. Another had the cheese burger. Good size and juicy.

Opened in 1864, Pete’s Tavern is a NYC landmark. Conveniently located in Union Square, Pete’s consistently serves delicious food and drinks in a very cozy setting. During the holiday season, Pete’s goes over the top with decorations and it’s amazing. Enjoy this staple in Manhattan with family and friends and significant others. You’ll leave pleasantly pleased!
