Nice atmosphere. Drink at a responsible price. Shout out to the Cavan man
Good bar with a happy hour you can actually catch after leaving work. The drinks are about what you'd expect from a pub, but the bartenders are really good guys. Take care of them and the favor will be returned.
My friends and I go to Jake's Tavern at 23rd and 7th frequently. We like the atmosphere and the bartenders. The partners who own Jake's, both named Jimmy, know us. The decor is clean and relaxing. The place puts a variety of sports games on its multiple TVs. The bar is long with many seats.
Food at Jake's is simple and tasty. I recommend burgers, pasta, appetizers, or a salad with salmon. Beers come in a good variety and are high quality. The liquor collection is good. Wines though are more of a mixed bag.
Come by. You will feel welcome.
Average bar that has pretty good food and lots of TV screens.
Beers are cold enough and the food is good too. The service is excellent. Good waiters and bartenders. Always on top of getting you served.
I do think some of the prices are a bit high. I paid $20 for a caesar salad but honestly most of the menu is decently priced for the bar food items like nachos and chicken fingers.
