One of my favorite places in NYC. It's quite complicated to get to Boat Basin if you don't know the city well. It's mostly the place for inhabitants, very cosy and hidden well. The view is gorgeous, my favorite spot for enjoying sunsets
It’s exactly what it is a cafe. Not too great but certainly not too bad. Foods okay nothing more service is cafe service. The view is just beautiful however and make the experience. Over all it’s a hidden gem and feels like a temporary escape from the city and gets the beer job done after some food for sure.
Really nice location, on a waterfront terrace over Riverside Park and the 79th Street Boat Basin. The interior is a partly open tunnel under the Henry Hudson Parkway. Stone archways above and columns all about. The drinks and food is pricey but they're tasty none the less - it's good bar food and a basic drink menu. Come and enjoy this spot when the weather is nice.
I want to love the Boat Basin cafe. The views and vibes are just perfect on a nice day. But the food and overall service doesn’t match up. They were out of several food and drinks items (how is it possible to run out of Coronas in the Summer? And avocados?) I’ll probably give it another try sometime, but don’t go with too high expectations.
Loved my first trip to the Boat Basin! The food was good, and reasonably priced for NYC, and the waitstaff was very friendly. Never felt rushed. What I liked most though was the atmosphere and scenery! Would return just for that! Great find!
