An unforgettable experience. We went for brunch on Sunday and got their a few minutes after opening considering how packed it gets. Sat right next to the lake and had a breathtaking view. I had the boathouse fish platter! ABSOLUTELY greatest platter I've eaten for brunch. Being from Florida, I eat fish outside of their with one eye closed because there's no fish like fresh fish. However, the white fish salad and filet were just outstanding! The salmon was even better! My wife had the seasonal omelette which was full of fresh veggies! I wish I could eat breakfast here every morning! Unbelievable staff and manager!!!

Had Christmas lunch here and was not overly impressed. Firstly the bar as you walk in was super busy and virtually inaccessible to guests waiting for a table. There are way too many people who aren't guests with reservation for the restaurant getting in the way. For Christmas lunch the window seats were designed for groups of approx 4-6, this disadvantaged all couples creating a few issues for the seating staff.
The food was great but my husband's Bisque appetizer came without crab and the server only followed up with the chef after we had finished our entre. He then said the chef forgot to put it on but shoved cold crab on our table for us to taste. This came across as a very rude gesture as we had finished our meal and was waiting for dessert all we asked was if the crab had been missed.
We then were given the wrong desserts to top it all off.
Great atmosphere and I would love to come back when it's not the holidays to enjoy the normal service.

I have been to Central Park many times and I never knew about this place. There are so many places in New York but this makes you feel like you are not in New York. Locals and Tourists go. Big thing is gets busy really quick so get there early. There is outdoor seating just for drinks and to relax when taking break from park. Would highly recommend if in park, but no need to go out of way if not.

Me and the family stopped in for brunch on a Saturday. Was decent food. Pretty pricey. Waitress and other staff didn’t seem too enthused. Heard a waiter get into an argument with the table beside us and they left. But great views of Central Park and the lake.

Excellent place. We arrived shortly after the dining area closed so I sat at the bar and the wonderful bar staff helped me get a couple beers before closing. Honestly such nice people, I was so impressed. Had a nice conversation with the bartender and we were on our way. Would highly recommend. And I wish nothing but the best to the gentleman who served me. Absolute stand up guy.
