Inase is an amazing, husband and wife owned gem on the Upper East Side. A true beacon of what sushi should be, filling the perfect space between over-the-top fancy sushi and mediocre take out.
I recently moved to the area and finally decided to try this place out. Even though it's easy to walk past, it's absolutely worth stopping in. Their fish is always extremely fresh and the staff are incredibly friendly. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing their Omakase (they have 2 options, I did the more expensive one for $120). It was the only Omakase I've been to that actually left me full! We had 3 or 4 appetizers before the sushi even started. Everything was so tasty (especially the Amberjack and tuna!)
I can't recommend this place enough, if you're in the area, definitely drop by and try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
Best Omakase ever
If you really like authentic Japanese
This is definitely the best place ever
We love it
If you’re looking for authentic feel and taste, come here. Quality is top notch. They import their fish from Japan.
New sushi chef took over this small sushi restaurant last August. He maintains the traditional Japanese sushi here. If you look for authentic sushi, I recommend you try this restaurant.
Top quality; resto is quiet, but service is friendly and quick. Owners have chosen to keep their regular patrons happy, instead of widening their market.
