Great for lunch. Big variety of pizza and a good deal on the pizza special . 2 slices and a drink .
Really good pizza. Not specialty or anything, but as far as classic NY pizza goes, it's very good. Plus they put a breadcrumb on the bottom of the crust which makes it more crispy than the average bear.
This place isn't artisanal, but it's better than the run of the mill pizza place in the city. The Grandma and red Sicilian slices are on point when fresh. If ordering slices stick to those and the basic round pies which are refreshed much more frequently than some of the specialty pies.
They have a soda fountain with free refills.
They serve beer and occasionally things get a bit rowdy on Friday nights as a result.
Fantastic pizza parlor with many various kinds of slices. They also offer beer which I love to pair with pizza. Prices are what you'd expect to pay in deep downtown Manhattan but certainly worth the price. I recommend for Dona Bella Pizza for anyone Keen to have some pizza!
I was happy this place was open late on a weeknight. I bought a plain cheese slice for $2.95. More than I would like to pay but I guess reasonable considering the area. They take credit cards which is good. The slice seemed to have some type of cornmeal on the bottom which made the crust very crispy and I liked that. Good amount of cheese as well. Slice was borderline overcooked on the bottom though. They have to be careful not to burn it. Overall, it was a pretty good slice. I liked it and would return if in the area again.
