Homestyle Chinese cooking in a cozy (hipster?) atmosphere reminiscent of restaurants in Chinatown. Dig-inn type fast casual- choose a rice base, protein(s) and veg! Pricing is affordable and scalable if you want to try lots of things! loved the pig ear in chili oil, the pickled radishes, and the pork and bean sprouts! Staff is very friendly and informative! Fun (hipster) soundtrack.
Great food, different than traditional Chinese, different selections by day. Worth checking out, small seating area, but not overly crowded.
Had to give 3 stars to this joint, not sure why there are many high rating reviews, maybe I hit their bad day unlucky..
Start with the good: very clean, staff is friendly, everything is well organized.
The bad: they should cover the food with lid or something, otherwise the food in the open-containers are getting too dry and make them look/taste like leftovers;
the cold dish is way too salty;
and I got medium box with 3 selections of dishes - that's $13.5 with no drinks, and the portion is small...
I think it's a bit overpriced with fact that there is a ramen place next door offering $7 a bowl and a Thai place with $12 a meal and many others.
They should either be more generous or lift up the food quality to win more customers.
Wow. Spicy scallion egg pancake is out if this works. And the shumai. So yummy!!!
Excellent "authentic" Chinese (spoke to two ladies from Beijing who were very impressed with the quality). Is a cafeteria style so not much choice and the menu can vary from day to day. My main quibble with the place is the limited seating. One of the best lunch places in the area.
