Great addition to the neighborhood! Very interesting wine and beer list and food menu. Everything we tried was great!
Have visited this place many times after visiting The Cloisters as it's a 7 minute walk away. If you want to continue a real artisan experience in the food and wine category, come see William (the owner and self-taught chef) and appreciate a curated food and wine menu with a bucolic experience you can feel.
What a great little gem for the neighborhood. I'm a big wine enthusiast, so I am so happy this place exists uptown. The staff is always friendly & the bartender made a great recommendation when I told her I like cabernets. Their food is also pretty great; get anything with vegetables, which I believe are from local farmers. Delicious all around!
This place is clearly a labor of love. The 3 people working there were all helpful, knowledgeable about their wines, and friendly. I was just taken aback by the smallness of the portions. They've divided wines by the glass into 2 portion sizes: splashes and pours. This is a great way for people to taste a lot of different things, but it seemed like Wall Street prices at a neighborhood hang out. Ditto the cheese plate. Everything was exquisite other than that. Wonderful and impressive wine selection!
To owner: I suspected the organic/sustainable was the cause. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near enough to make your happy hours :(
A gem of a wine bar in a neighborhood where such gems are rare. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and we felt immediately welcome. The selection of wines is non-traditional but I think that is a strength. Why not get out of your comfort zone and taste something eye-opening? Didn't have the chance to taste the food but the other patrons were happy with their plates. Highly recommend
