This is the beautiful Belle Epoch type Cafe that is part of the neue galerie. Some of the best desserts outside of Vienna Austria. They often have an excellent pianist playing Chopin and Brahams. Their red wines are superb.
Not so big space, cozy, comfortable and classic. Delicious food, as well!
Menu is terrific. Vienna came to NYC. Not inexpensive. Dessert and coffee or lunch.
A wonderful European cafe brought to life in New York. It's the only restaurant that truly captures that special something of a Paris or Viennese cafe. Beyond the space the food is excellent. Authentic Austrian cuisine done right. Simply some of the best baked goods in New York. Though the food is expensive for a casual cafe it's worth it. The only major downside is the wait can be insane. There is a small cake in the basement that serves the same food and typically had less of a line. They occasionally have special musical events in the evening.
