    Basta Pasta is my favorite restaurant in NYC, period. It's even Richard Gere's top place to eat, for good reason... this little place in Chelsea really has a soul and welcoming vibe all it's own. I especially love it's central kitchen area, located in the heart of the restaurant, where you can watch their superb cook staff prepare your meal with the expert precision of a Swiss watch maker. Whenever I'm in town, Basta Pasta is always first on my list, a true hidden gem in Manhattan.

    This was also another place I used to go with my former colleagues. Food is good but it’s a bit pricey. Again it’s a safe choice to go with people you don’t know much or to semi-formal lunches

    I honestly had one of the best meals I've ever had! If you are deciding whether to go here or not, definitely go! The atmosphere was classy, but comfortable and just overall lovely. And the food was amazing! I had the prosciutto pasta, and they made it in a cheese wheel right at my table. It was quite an experience! Also, the Bolognese is absolutely amazing! So, nice people, nice atmosphere, and delicious food. I would
    definitely recommend.
