This cafe is so cute! The decorations outside were charming enough for us to go in and get something to go, even though we had just eaten down the street. The decor inside is just as adorable. The pastries are delicious, although quite expensive. It's NYC and in a nice area though, so it's to be expected. The staff was friendly and quick to greet and serve us. Definitely would like to return to eat in the cafe instead of take-out.
Cafe Serafina was so cute. The aesthetic of this cafe was to die for. The staff working there were so helpful, one man helped me get a chair when he noticed I was sitting on the ground. I came here for an event to try and get food. The food here is so good too. I got a blueberry muffin, brownie and latte, they were just what I needed after an early morning. Things were a bit on the pricer side but it was so worth it.
Pizza box is cute. Waited ~15 minutes saw staff making it from fresh . (I though pizza means quick to go..) but overall, very ins style, price is moderate, spacious space to stay and relax. Walking distance to Central Park.
Really surprised by all the bad reviews, I really loved this place. I stumbled upon it on my way to Central Park, I had been debating breakfast options and saw this. First, I love the ambience, it’s the perfect cafe atmosphere not typical in NYC; cute, comfortable, and BIG. It’s hard to find roomy cafes in New York and I hate walking around searching for cafes where the three tables are permanently taken. I didn’t have a complicated order, but felt the wait time was appropriate.
As for the food, I felt the quality was good, again, not a hard order, but I’ve paid more for generic fruit cups at delis or places like Pret and it was just wilted fruit. This fruit was fresh and juicy, the scone was good as well. I’m felt the prices were reasonable for Manhattan; everything is too expensive here for what you get, but I also paid for the atmosphere and the ability to hang out and drink my tea after, which was worth it.
Staff was nice as well, but I did order at the kiosk. I’ll definitely be back, I love finding weekend breakfast places to relax at.
