This is a great little breakfast/brunch place. The decor is bright, calming and clean. We arrived on a Sunday morning around 9:15 and were seated right away. We got a cozy table in the corner and ordered a cappuccino and a golden latte. They came out hot and delicious. My husband and I shared the banana bread French toast (amazing!) and the cheddar biscuit sandwich (also so good!!!).
Service was friendly and attentive.
I really liked this restaurant. Got a nice table outside and our server was fantastic. She was nice and had all the jokes. The food was also very good. I got the couscous salad and really liked the flavors. It had a nice spiced sauce that you could mix in, this dish definitely had layers it could also be a good vegan option if you get it without the sour cream. Another vegan option could be the oatmeal that is pictured below.
We came here for a late breakfast and since the weather was sunny we sat outside. The staff was lovely and very helpful. If you want to share a meal between 2 you can get the bigger meals. Accompanied with drinks, the total came up to $28 which is a very reasonable price for such great quality of food. The Citizens of Chelsea is a great restaurant and I highly recommended it.
Excellent brunch! Love the coffee. It really taste like real coffee. Love the ambient and decoration. I tried the Aussie spiced ice tea the cast iron eggs and the bbq beans food was 10 out of 10. Service can be better I know they where busy ! Definitely ll be back! Great job

This has become one of my favorite breakfast places I have ever gone to. There are seldom places that can pull off such good French toast that it baffles me that we went any where else in New York.
The Caramelized banana French toast was some of the best I have ever had by a mile. The bread itself was made of a banana bread-like base that gave it such a great foundation for the rest of the ingredients. It was topped with a slightly tangy and sweet lemon banana sauce that paired really well with the French toast itself. As the name implies, it had caramelized bananas that had the perfect amount of glaze topped with home made whipped cream and sugar glass. The sugar glass was mostly for decoration and was the only thing that I didn’t care for considering the thickness.
The staff was also super friendly and attentive and the locations was great as well. My biggest surprise was the wait which was almost nothing. For such a great place I would normally expect am hour wait at least so finding such a gem with no wait was great!
