Locally sourced ingredients, simple and flavorful dishes, and a pared-down and ever-evolving menu are what sets this fast food apart from the others. Financed in a great part by famed restaurateur Danny Meyers, Dig Inn (or just Dig) has 29 locations only on the east coast. The best are the sides which fantastic and inviting. You can have just a plate of sides or you can order an entree (chicken, fish) with 2 sides. Sets you back about 12 dollars. Water is accessible and free here but other beverages are in short supply and choice. They are also costly. Nice bathrooms. Decent service and seating. Avoid lunchtime is possible as the lines are prohibitive. Also, the end of the day brings less choices and dried out entrees. Not all Digs are created equal in terms of set up (some can seem a bit dismal) and service quality but food it's pretty consistent. If you have a good imagination, you can close your eyes and think you're having a home - cooked meal.

Always have amazing options and the service is super reliable! The manager, Matt, at this location always goes above and beyond. From the moment my girlfriend and I stepped in he was attentive. He realized it was raining and offered sanitized wipes to clean some residue off my jacket. The rest of the staff was super knowledgeable as well. There was a little hiccup at the register when I was accidentally charged for extra protein, but Matt really took care of us. We would always come for the food, but Matt’s service and leadership is the reason I will make the trip from Brooklyn to this specific location!!! Thanks guys!!

Bottom line, this place has great food.. We were spending the afternoon exploring the Met just a few blocks away and decided to take a walk and find a ‘healthy’ lunch (not always easy in NYC).. I found this place using Google Maps and we were definitely not disappointed.. They have a buffet/assembly line system so the service is fast.. We had our orders super quick and found a table within minutes.. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious.. Just what we were craving.. Service was decent, but your only interaction with the staff is when they put your order together.. Prices are very fair, considering the location and the quality of the food.. All in all this place is great and totally worth a visit if you’re in the area..

Visited this cute place for lunch one day, the line was very long but the staff were handling it pretty quickly - I was quite confuse of what to order since there’s a big selection - after choosing what to eat I fell I love with this restaurant. The food was so fresh and the tastes were amazing! It is my favorite new lunch place! (Or even dinner)
Must try the chicken and the mac n cheese!!

Great place for lunch. Large portions. You can build your own bowl. The food is healthy. Vegetarian options available. Reasonable prices. Fast and kind service. I can definitely recommend this place to anyone.
