Had many wonderful and memorable evenings at this restaurant. The excellent food and beautiful dining room always made me feel indulged. How sad that it has closed, I will miss it!
We love to come here as our first stop in NYC almost every time. Ask to sit in the back near the windows if you are going for lunch. This visit we had a beet salad (very small) and a bone marrow & beef cheeseburger all in this elegant yet relaxing atmosphere. Also tried the lime and orgeat cocktail, delicious. The apple tart special dessert was to -die-for although we had to bring 1/2 home for breakfast. We also requested to purchase , if possible, their incredible Riedel highball/ water glasses which suggested a New York skyline as a result of a design contest by the company. Astonishing design!
This is the MOST DELICIOUS Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. The service is phenomenal, and the environment is very cozy and calming. I would highly recommend to anyone that likes lots of flavors, spice, and garlic in their food. If you don't eat meat and are a pescatarian like myself, their shrimp is mouth watering. Do yourself a favor and come to this place, you will not regret it
I've had dinner there three times during three years. Every next time it feels like the place is going down lower and lower. Last time I was disappointed with lamb rib chops. They have none of the amazing lamb taste that I was after. Just fact. Do not want to guess about. That was one of many disappointments. Now I have disappointed in New York City establishment restaurants completely. They can't cook on the good level but charge hell of the money. Want a real good quality food - go to Quebec and pay twice less for it.
