All I am gonna say is I paid 30$ on food here for me and my daughter and I wish I had spent more. Matter fact, I wish I got several plates so I could eat their food all week or possibly freeze for a later time. I cant wait to go back there. The collards, mac& cheese, candied yams(wow),roast and the sweet potato pie...threw me out my chair. Bonus, they were exceptionally good about Covid Standards and no one was allowed to touch anything in the place without a sanitizing process. 👍🏽👍🏽

Would have rated 5 stars, but their "salmon" - despite the label - was some other fish(most likely "King fish", and not to be confused with "King Salmon") prepared to look like salmon[edit: on that day]. Once you break/taste it, it became quite obvious. The dull white flesh was the first giveaway. Anyone familiar with salmon knows the distinct color, texture, and taste of real salmon(in rare - small genetic variation - cases, King Salmon CAN have white flesh, but those are uncommon, highly sought after today, and carry a high premium price to match).

I was on a lunch break and had a variety of foods(which I enjoyed!) in the container, so I didn't return to make a fuss. I found that 'stunt'- which other restaurants practice too - a little "shady." I returned there recently and tried other foods. I was disappointed by their ox tail[edit: on one day] which was tough and not very flavorful. Never tried since. Their fried fish and chicken(baked or fried), however, was absolutely delicious!

Despite those two issues(imposter salmon and tough ox tail) the food from Jacob is generally excellent in quality, preparation, and taste, and deserving of 5 stars. I would fully recommend, just be sure to examine the "salmon" before leaving with it.

One of my favorite places to grab a bite. Food is amazing! Buffet style. They have ribs, fried chicken, oxtail, fish, mac & cheese and so much more. They have vegetarian options also. Foodie Recommended!
