Joe's Steam Rice Roll

Great authentic taste of steam rice roll. Fresh ingredients and juicy stuffing. The one with shrimps is the best!! I usually order one extra for later time.

Having grown up in southern China, "changfen" (steamed rice roll) is one of my favorite foods and I get very picky about the quality / authenticity. This restaurant serves the "scraped" version, which I love and prefer over the "rolled" version that's typically served in dim sum restaurants. It's thinner, more textured, and chewier. This place does quite a good job and the portion is sufficient for the price considering its location. Can't wait to go back many times more!

Legit and delicious. The crepe is excellent, thin, chewy and smooth. Even better than many other varieties I had growing up in Hong Kong. Curry fish balls are also my comfort food. It’s the deep fried type. So texture tends to be bouncier with a slightly crunchier skin but dehydrated. I tried the bbq pork, and shrimp party. Both excellent! Great Cantonese snacks for a broader American audience. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! I ordered the shrimp party roll and the beef rice roll and both were very yummy and had plenty of options of add-ins to the rolls. I can't wait to try some of their other rolls! The price was also very reasonable.
