Had brunch here recently and it was great! Our server was attentive and the food was delicious. Must try the whipped ricotta!
We started with the ricotta toast, which was very delicious; the bread was warm, fluffy and light. The whipped ricotta was also creamy and combined with the honey, it was perfectly sweet. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and they were well done- very crispy, and perhaps a few were a little too well done but over all very good flavor and texture. I ordered the Rigatoni and my boyfriend ordered the Pappardelle. The Rigatoni was cooked with vodka sauce which was delicious, but could have used a little more red pepper. The Pappardelle came with lamb ragu, which was very yummy. The lamb was so tender and the sauce had excellent flavors, but the pasta was too al dente and honestly I think there could have been a better noodle choice. The pappardelle was larger and flatter than usual, and the lamb ragu was stuck at the bottom of the plate, and it was very hard to mix the pasta. We topped it off with the olive oil cake - this was OK, nothing special. I wish we would have gotten the tiramisu instead. We also ordered cocktails- a Paloma and a spicy margarita. They weren’t very good, mostly just the taste- Paloma was overwhelming bitter and the spicy marg wasn’t spicy and tasted more like limoncello. We definitely should’ve explored the wine menu. But over all a very solid experience, we will be back.
The food was average. The herb fries were crispy and well seasoned. The pasta sauce was solid but the pasta was under cooked and were never offered freshly grated Parmesan. The Benedict eggs were room temperature and the bread was too thin and didn’t have much substance. The service was poor, the waiter never checked on the table after the food was served and seemed annoyed throughout the service.
I love La Pecora Bianca so I had to try the new UWS location! I'm obsessed with the beautiful decor, especially the arches. The food here is amazing and you can't go wrong with anything from the menu. I highly recommend the ricotta toast, the zucchini fries, the cacio e Pepe and the rigatoni with burrata!
Absolutely wonderful! We were lucky enough to go opening night and truly enjoyed the experience. The same incredible foot quality as the other locations in such a bright space made for a great experience.
