Average price and no tipping (still expensive), great taste, average portions. Couple of things that stood out from the 8 course kaiseki included the crab, uni, Chestnut, ikura, and Milt. There were some dishes that tasted average, can't remember all, though dessert was smaller portion and not as tasty as I'd like. Pretty plating. Overall worth trying.
This is the second time I tasted OKUDA, still five-star rating!!!
Every dishes tonight was so good. Uni/Samon/Kani were so fresh that you can taste the ocean!
Absolutely love this place!
Excellent service (without any incentives - tips)
Foods are exquisitely delicious w/ detail oriented services! Two-Thumbs Up& Highly Highly Recommend It!
Spectacular service. Very authentic, yet creative. A lot of food... Small plates, but many of them. Go hungry. Very attentive service.
World-class Japanese fine dining! Kaiseki cuisine is rarely found outside Japan, and is quite unique. I’ve lived in Kyoto, and Okuda captures the spirit of traditional kaiseki cuisine – the seasonality of ingredients and decorations, the careful composition and service. It is authentic and unlike other Japanese restaurants! The sake and wine pairing is also worthwhile – interesting selection and good quality. A gem!
