A fantastic spot with delicious food! As an essential worker it brought a smile to my face when I saw the parade breakfast during the vaccination pod in Harlem today.
We heard about Pabade from a friend and boy were they right. Pabade is an adorable bakery in East Harlem and they have fantastic pastries and equally friendly and lovable staff. We ordered the monkey bread, blueberry scone, tres leches, and a ham/cheese on a baguette. All were so delicious (and good price-wise compared to other places especially downtown), and my husband was so impressed at how fresh, well-balanced, and all-around satisfying his ham/cheese was. A great place to pick up treats to enjoy in Central Park - highly recommend!
Cute neighborhood bakery with very friendly staff. Everything I tried was delicious, it's hard to pick a favorite. I would totally recommend the tres leches since it was very moist with a really nice spongy consistency and was just the right amount of sweet. The guava pastry was amazing and I also recommend the almond chocolate crossaint. I'm glad this place has been able to stay open during the pandemic. The neighborhood needs a place like this where you can get quality food without paying outrageous prices. Highly recommended!
There are so many Instagram famous bakeries in NYC, but majority of it are all hype. Pabade is hands down one of the best bakeries in New York. The baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, and pastries speaks for itself, you’ll just have to go there in person to experience it. The owner and staff are the friendliest and warmest people you’ll meet, which adds to the charm of this Immigrant-owned, East Harlem gem!
It’s not just that their food is delicious and heartwarming (I had their sandwiches, pastries, and bread), but this bakery has a soul. They know how to uplift your spirit with their generosity, even when you know that they, like other small businesses in NYC, are struggling. Along with my order, I’d sometimes find a flan that’s creamy and nostalgic at the same time, or a box of scrumptious pastries (croissant with guava!). It’s generosity, pure and simple, but also confidence and pride, knowing that what they offer is really good. To the siblings behind this gem, thank you.
