Great little spot
Very special jazz experience, great vocalists and band! The food was good too!
No frills storefront place that holds an oasis of smooth jazz and blues, along with flavorful Jamaican cuisine. That rum punch is delicious and strong, so go easy until you have some food in your system. Service was so good, our young waitress took care of our large party of eight effortlessly. Loved the jerked wings, and the spicy meat patties, which are like handheld meat pies with a tender, flavorful crust. But the star of the night was the music. Where can you go in NYC for a night of amazing music with no cover?
Nice little place to eat and listen to some good jazz music. The food was very good, the jerk salmon was too spicy for us (but I really think it's just the recipe, we're Italians so we're not used to this spicyness! ) but the chef made another salmon dish for us that was super good! Hope that if we come back to NY we'll go there again?
I took my wife and niece, had a fantastic Sunday brunch, And listened to an excellent jazz band.
I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent west Indian fare. Even my niece had a great time enjoyed the food and the personal attention.
My wife and I used to go to Patrick’s Patty shop across town since we were in high school. This is a whole new level. I am so glad that he grew up along with us.
