It is what it is. The quality of their food is not GREAT. They do the best with what they have and their budget. Overall, its not a culinary masterpiece. Its an easy place to eat with kids or a family. If you are looking at top notch authentic food, you can go to one of the 5-10 GREAT Italian restaurants within a stone's throw.

The mixed seafood with lobster is delicious and so huge that the two of us had to take it home for another meal! Definitely worth your money. We also ordered the tiramisu based on a raving review but found it disappointing. The watery rum mixture soaked through the bottom layer and overpowered the rest of the cake, so I scrapped off the soaked mush and only ate the upper part. I peg it to an off day. They gave us prosciutto and bread on the house, a very nice touch. The service was up to par and the place is quiet, allowed you to stay and sit, and not as crowded (we did go at 2). This is indeed a special place in NYC that seem to give customers a excellent portion at a understandable price :)

Generous portions. Authentic red sauce with fresh pasta. Great Italian atmosphere with fantastic service. Prices are reasonable especially considering the portions. Great for family style dining. Canolis were perfectly prepared. This place meets the hype.

I've been a customer for a long time. Love that they deliver constantly. I recently went for desserts a lot but used to have my birthday dinners hear. the black linguine is to die for. love the price, ambience the servers. Everything is great for the value.

I don’t really get it. The setting is smart in an old-fashioned way and the service is efficient. All the Italian-American classics are on the menu and served in frankly enormous portions (a half serving is enough for two people). But the marinara sauce is just ordinary. It’s an old-time experience but I’m not sure it justifies its price.
