Wasabi Sushi & Bento Penn Station

Normally you wouldn’t necessarily go for prepackaged sushi. However, given it’s central location in the center of Penn, the sushi goes and is replaced very quickly. Surprisingly quality sushi, and a wide variety at that. Plus they offer Poke bowls, hot food, and plenty of drinks. Seating can be limited during peak hours, but it’s a great, affordable option if you have some time before your train.

The products seem to move quickly as commuters descend on its fresh products. The place is small but is well arranged to accommodate quite a lot of people who tend to dine alone or in pairs at most. You can get little snack size seaweed pieces here.

I have not seen mochi here in a while. It seems they have been replaced with petite cheesecakes.

I always visit Wasabi when I travel to the city. Before I travel elsewhere or before I take a train home, I go to Wasabi for small bites and to relax a bit. Sometimes I eat sushi, but I prefer their hot meals because I feel that Wasabi is a place where you can actually enjoy a meal. The employees work very hard and you can tell because it is always clean and I think that is what makes it different from everywhere else in Penn Station. I hope they will expand their variety of drinks, but other than that, I like it here a lot. Good job everyone!
