“There so much I can say about this place and it still might not do it justice. I’ll start by saying the staff is beyond amazing. Their energy is one of a kind and super contagious. After a long day of work or a morning workout you feel welcomed and as part of the family. Their recommendations are on point based on your likes and what you’re in the mood for. Some even make things on the spot that become a hit within seconds. Their nutritional tips are also on point and have really helped me become more conscious about the choices I make. My favorite thing is how we have become instant friends. From asking about each others days to discussing how class was or even how the family is doing. The team has really become family and there is no price to that. I recommend this spot for first class nutritional tips and drinks, a workout to remember, and for some genuine good company. Lastly I will end by saying that my 9 year old niece has become a fanatic of the kids class offered and the pay day shake. She has genuinely enjoyed being around the staff. PS. If you haven’t tried Ana’s protein donuts you need to do ASAP. It will change your life FOREVER!”

“Lovely coffee spot, right near the south end of central park. And while the egg and cheese came on sourdough (instead of croissant as requested) and looked over cooked--it was I need a crispy, crunchy, melts pile of cheesy goodness! However it's quite busy, so expect a line and somewhat tight quarters. And the cleanliness left a bit to be desired--the plates left on the outside tables, and stains around the condiments station. Still I'd recommend this for a light breakfast, if in the area.”

“This cafe is so cute! The decorations outside were charming enough for us to go in and get something to go, even though we had just eaten down the street. The decor inside is just as adorable. The pastries are delicious, although quite expensive. It's NYC and in a nice area though, so it's to be expected. The staff was friendly and quick to greet and serve us. Definitely would like to return to eat in the cafe instead of take-out.”

“Ordered some cookies and cake for an office party. The pistachio cardamom was one of the best gluten free cakes I've had and the salted caramel was AMAZING. Grabbed a latte when I went to pick up and the guy working there was super sweet and helpful. Excellent all around!!”

“Quick service if you want to grab something with little time before the train! Okay here’s a tip for vegans… wasn’t sure how this was going to work out but was pleasantly surprised for a non dairy / cream cheese version. I went pumpernickel, avo, lettuce, tomato and the cream cheese was not missed!”

“I am always happy to enter and leave this establishment. I greatly appreciate the energy and the vibes. Vernetta is a Blessing. She sets the tone and everyone else is just as uplifting! This place is in like the usual angry service=good food! You get good ‘Yardie’ food w/I d attitude. #₽ri¢e£e$$”

“Happened upon this gem with a friend after Pride! It’s been a while so don’t quote but the vibes, the crowd, and the music was amazing! I was loving the energy. The menu was a little overwhelming to me because I wanted something different but all my friends were having seafood. I chose Yassa Poisson Chicken and I made the best decision. It was straight fire! The flavor was out of control! I wanted to go right back but unfortunately not longer hung with those friends and couldn’t remember the name of the restaurant! I have since figured out the ingredients and taught myself how to make it but I will never forget what inspired me and the experience. I definitely recommend and need to go back!”

“Don't be scared of a long line the service is always lightning fast. The bagels are good and meet discerning New York standards. If this is the closest bagel to you you won't be disappointed! Coffee is a big step up from diner coffee, but not gourmet - in other words you can get a large for under $3. Bagels are also very cheap, but toppings are not so you'll still probably pay about $10 for breakfast and coffee unless you're a plain bagel dude.”

“This is the closest to a true Italian cafe I could find in all of NYC. They even give you a tiny glass of club soda next to your espresso so you can cleanse your palate after drinking. Also their prices are SO reasonable for NYC (the prices aren’t Italian lol)! The manager is super nice as well. I ordered a bad cup of decaf iced coffee once, and he made a new iced decaf espresso for me. Even said I can make it double shot if I wanted. Just a super friendly, welcoming place with good authentic Italian coffee. It’s my favorite cafe in NYC!”

“Good food but the prices are a little high for my liking. Cool staff but the place feels real.. gentrified. Either way, good eats. 😎”

“Near the veterinarian hospital. They sell a variety of organic snacks, domestic/foreign beers and sandwiches. It's a convenience store so don't expect to save, especially in the neighborhood It's located in.”

“Rediculously overpriced and no place to wash for bread, which is unacceptable in a kosher restaurant. Large size coffee was equivalent to a small anywhere else. Sandwich on tiny rye bread cost close to $16. Go elsewhere. *Edited to add two stars because the tiny sandwich was delicious”

“Amazing Restaurant, perfect neighborhood spot that knows how to make their regulars coming back daily. Not only do they have amazing Mediterranean food for lunch and dinner they have an amazing coffee bar with some of the best muffins I’ve ever tasted. They also deserve a hundred more stars for treating my dog like a king. We truly love it there.”

“I want to start off by saying it is never my intention to hurt a small business in anyway but I do want to give an honest review. I lived in NY for 10 years as an adult and I grew up eating bagels everyday- they are my favorite food of all time. A year ago, I found out that I am allergic to gluten which was absolutely devastating given my loves for bagels and any baked good really. Fortunately it’s fairly easy to find good gluten free baked goods these days but it’s NOT easy to find good gluten free bagels. I found modern bread and bagel online the other day and was SO excited to try the bagels that everyone swears taste exactly like a real bagel. I ordered them online and they arrived with no ice pack or anything which I found odd given the time of year…I used to order from Zabars out of state and there was always an ice pack included to keep them fresh. They were however vacuum sealed which I know is supposed to do the same thing I guess? When I opened them the garlic had basically melted everywhere due to the heat. Now maybe they taste better completely fresh and I have considered that. I proceeded to eat one anyways and I’m honestly not thrilled. The texture is off like way off, they are very dense instead of light and fluffy ..they don’t toast well (have tried 3 different settings on my toaster) and they get hard immediately after toasting -like many other gluten free bagels. I was pleased with the size of the bagel and the everything seasoning for the most although honestly it had a bit of a weird flavor. I’m only writing this because everyone is saying they can’t tell a difference. Well this is somewhat close to a regular bagel but in no way does this taste like a real New York gluten filled bagel. I guess bagels are one or the only things that can’t be recreated, it’s just extremely disappointing”

“What can I say, this place is great! I have no complaints. The interior is bright and nice. The outdoor seating is cute and clean. I had the chicken manousheh and it was phenomenal. It’s some sort of wholesome wrap. I also got this interesting hummus where the chick peas aren’t smashed and they come whole! I got free roasted assortment of peanuts on the side as well. Everything was really flavorful and delicious. Try their 961 beer too it was a perfect drink before the meal. The service is off the chain as well and the young female working there is very kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. Thanks y’all!”

“This one employee Mikale was amazing he's really Funny makes you feel real important helps you the best way he could. Before he came to the store it wasn't really no good costumer service. So I would like to thank you to whoever hired that guy because he seems to bring a new energy to the store and I love it.”

“It’s not just that their food is delicious and heartwarming (I had their sandwiches, pastries, and bread), but this bakery has a soul. They know how to uplift your spirit with their generosity, even when you know that they, like other small businesses in NYC, are struggling. Along with my order, I’d sometimes find a flan that’s creamy and nostalgic at the same time, or a box of scrumptious pastries (croissant with guava!). It’s generosity, pure and simple, but also confidence and pride, knowing that what they offer is really good. To the siblings behind this gem, thank you.”

“I love Mangia because of the wonderful people who work there and the delicious food and coffee. This is my work neighborhood go to because the food is so fresh and healthy. I have been eating at Mangia for over 10 years and am so happy they are still here serving despite this pandemic and almost empty neighborhood. The best cappuccino ever!”

“we’ve visited the Magnolias Bakery two times and we weren’t disappointed at all. Like many others we came for the famous banana Pudding. There were also other Pudding Flavors and a big selection of Cakes and pastries. It´s a sweet tooth heaven. I really recommend this spot for your coffee break in New York City! The people are different in a good way. So relaxed and pleasant. Thanks for the experience!”

“This is a great local place, and the bagels are miles better than the ones at Murray's. I never understand why people are waiting on a long line over at Murray's when there are terrific bagels a block away. There are very good muffins, pastries and sandwiches here as well. The staff are always very friendly, and fast.”

“I loved this old diner. It has history and good food as well. The waitresses are friendly and quick and the whole place felt like everyone was having a good time. The menu is classic breakfast food but it was done well and the coffee was nice and hot and they kept it coming! I had stuffed french toast and it was yummy! Prices are very reasonable and everyone in our large party left full and satisfied. Will come again next time we're in Harlem.”
