Stopped by for the first time this morning based on a recommendation as I have been in search of a good bagel, and I was not disappointed! I ordered the bacon, egg, and Vermont cheese on a plain bagel, and my friend had a pretzel bagel. They were so flavorful, soft and chewy. Great texture and taste. And the egg, cheese, and bacon were delicious. We each got a coffee which were A-Mazing! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I kinda can't get it out of my mind, it was that good lol. I think I have found my bagel place. 😀 We will be back. Thanks B & D's!

Do you love bagels? What about breakfast sandwiches? Or soup? Bottom line, go to B & D Bagels & Locks and enjoy your favorite bagel, breakfast sandwich, or soup. The food is always fresh and delicious, the bagel menu changes daily, and the people are friendly and kind. Support this local business by stopping in and enjoying something new or and old favorite. The food is great and the price is right. Go and enjoy!

First, let me say I don't eat bagels often, but when I do I want a decent quality bagel. When I read that B&D Bagels ship in their dough from NYC, but boil and bake their bagels fresh daily I knew I had to go.

I ordered a pumpernickel bagel with lox and the works. My husband ordered a rye bagel with chive cream cheese.

The pumpernickel bagel had a slightly sweet rye bread flavor that was crusty on the outside, with a dense chewy texture on the inside, accompanied with liberal schmer of cream cheese. The lox wasn't overly smokey and combined nicely with the works; crunchy thinly sliced red onion, a slice of sweet tomato and briney capers. Absolutely perfection!

My husband's bagel had a very rich taste of rye with a generous helping of cream cheese with crisp chives throughout.

We enjoyed our bagels with freshly made coffee that was rich, dark and strong in flavor.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and did not rush us to make our decisions.
Next time I go, I plan to sign up for their "Bagel Bucks" for frequent customers.

I'd recommend going early if you want a good variety of bagel choices.

    For breakfast:
The bagels and cream cheeses are delicious, but be careful when ordering a breakfast sandwich. For some reason they don't toast the bagel with the toaster when ordering a sandwich. They toast it by placing the harder sides of the bagel on a flat top until your eggs and meat are cooked. Sometimes they get a little backed up, so your bagel will sit on there for a while. Be prepared for a bagel with a hard outside and a fresh, untoasted inside.

    For lunch:
Limited selection when it comes to lunch as they often run out of bagels before noon. If you're lucky enough to get a sandwich, it'll be good.

So the good: generous helping of awesome eggs and tasty bagels that may or may not taste like you expect (which is neither good or bad).
The bad: sausage was non-existent taste wise. Very thin. And unless I took a picture I would have thought they forgot! Fairly expensive. I ordered just the bagel breakfast sandwich with no drink and it was over $9. While the service was very friendly they were fairly slow. The menu listed the sandwiches for breakfast and lunch and dinner but no prices and while they had drinks on counter to let you know what they had, again no prices. Also, they had coffee and espresso but not listed and no pricing!
Overall, you'll be full with a lighter wallet. Not bad at all just not good.
Update - Prices are now listed for sandwiches. But not for drinks.... Finally had lunch and it was good. Very tasty and filling. Drink selection is limited if you want a soda or something along those lines. All told, great tasting foods with sometimes limited selection on bagels. Which is fair after breakfast.
