First time eating here since they reopened. Impressed.,,. Nice ambience. Big central fireplace. Maple butter for rolls. NY strip and shrimp cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts also very good. Waitress very attentive.

I ate there about a week ago after a weekend trip to Old Forge. I've dined there countless times growing up and I was sad to hear that it closed for a while. The meal I recently had was my first since it opened back up and it did not disappoint. The portions were large and food was amazing. I'm hoping the business does well because it's a landmark that everyone should check out.
    Thank you!

Went to have dinner here since the new owners opened the place back up. I had the Steak tips dinner. I Received a large portion of steak tips on mashed potatoes along with candied carrots and I couldn't have been happier. The meal was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Went there tonight on a Thursday night and it was very good. It wasn't too busy and we got a table right away. The waitress was quick and friendly and brought our drinks right out. Food was served about 20 minutes after we ordered. I got the hot covered turkey sandwich and my fiancé got a bacon cheeseburger. Both were good. I got the grilled asparagus spears as my side and they were some of the biggest, fattest asparagus I've ever eaten. The French fries that came with the burger were excellent! I kept stealing them off his plate.

My only complaints would be very minor things:
The blinking open sign was in the window by our table and got a little obnoxious after a few minutes.
Not a ton of appetizer choices. Usually we split an appetizer, but between lactose intolerance and a shellfish allergy, the only thing we really could have shared (that I recall) was chicken tenders.
Bathrooms were pretty run down, although they did have a handicap accessible stall which is good, and I imagine they'll update in the future.
All in all, those things are very minor and not at all worth removing a star in my mind.

Total price for two entrees and a beer was $35. Definitely will be going again!
