Hughie's House of Hotcakes

Hit them up in front of Raymour on Erie Blvd today. The food was outstanding. I got the Baby Hughie - 2 pancakes, loaded home fries and bacon. Everything tasted great and I put the legendary sauce on all of it. Perfect blend of sweetness without being too sweet.

Now this, this is a hidden gem. Stumbled across Hughie's when attending a small fall festival in Syracuse and I'm so glad I did.

First of all, their pancakes are delicious by themselves. Nothing needs to be added, they're perfect! However, if you want to bring them to another level of perfection, you should dunk them in the secret sauce.

Now, I know it's a secret sauce for a reason, but I found myself asking, "What's in this?" Whatever it is, is delicious and I wish I had an endless supply.

I'm going to start off with something borderline blasphemous. I don't like pancakes, never have.

Hughie's changed that for me. The pancakes themselves were fluffy and exactly what every pancake should be.

And that syrup. Order an extra cup and thank me later. That syrup was absolutely delicious. I LOVED those pancakes with that magical caramel-y syrup. Y'all should be selling it by the gallon.

The home fries were great too. Nicely seasoned.

The only slight negative for me was the bacon which was super chewy but that's personal preference and coming from someone who likes their bacon all crisp.

The woman running the window was a delight as well. Genuinely nice, super friendly people that make you want to come back.

I can't wait to have Hughie's again.

By the way, this was after eating it warned up in the microwave. 😉

I enjoyed Hughie’s at the Food Trucks at the Great Northern Mall. When I walked by I was given a sample. Well, that was so good I went back for a full meal. Breakfast for dinner is always fun, but this was a delicious treat. The pancakes were the best tasting I have ever had. The loaded hash browns and special sauce were excellent as well. The owners are very nice people. I would most definitely visit their food truck again!

We used Hughie’s for a large church event and they were AMAZING! Everyone loved the food! The pancakes, home fries and secret sauce were outstanding and everyone was raving about them! And excellent service with a smile! Can’t wait for more of their food!
