Usually, everything’s fine at this store, but I had an experience there recently that made me quite angry. I walked to the store to buy groceries and snacks. It’s about 4 blocks away. I don’t drive. I waited about 10 minutes for the cashier to deal with a delivery person. That person then started to engage in small talk with the cashier and then also decided to order a slice of pizza. The cashier had trouble getting the slice out of the warmer. By the time he got it out, I’d been standing with a heavy basket for 15 minutes, while the other 3 or 4 staff people stood around having personal conversations. The cashier then told the delivery guy that he had no bags. I asked him if he indeed said they had no bags. He said “yes, we ran out”. It was about 1:00 in the afternoon and they had no bags! I asked if they didn’t have either plastic or paper bags as I had walked 4 blocks to get there and now need to walk those 4 blocks back. He spent another 5 minutes looking for paper bags, to no avail. At 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon, this Byrne Dairy had NO BAGS!!! I walked 8 blocks for nothing. I was angry enough to write this critical review. And I almost never write reviews!
Much better than some of the other nearby Byrnes. The workers here are much nicer. The young guy who was working at night who made our sundaes was very professional and made them huge. A female worker who made my pizza did it exactly how I wanted.
So clean and convenient....nice staff and great location on West side where I live. Horray!....also, fabulous coffee
