My favorite lunch place with friends. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the menu is always changing which makes it interesting. The bar room is pure Irish pub, but the dining room serves outstanding American and international cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. If you go on a Friday in the summer, try the lobster roll, and save a piece of raspberry pie for me.
This was my first visit to Riley's, but it won't be my last. The daily specials menu is interesting, and prices over the whole menu are reasonable. The fried oyster sandwich was incredible, with crisp breading and perfectly cooked oysters. Irish fries were included, so the plate was overflowing when it arrived! My companion had a burger which she said tasted like steak- another delicious meal. I'm pretty sure the rolls were made on the premises. We split a piece of pecan pie- homemade- with perfect homemade whipped cream.
Recently had dinner at Riley's. The booth was cozy, but so dark we had to hold the menus under the dim light. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the flank steak with a yummy sauce and mashed sweet potatoes. Also had that nights blue plate which consisted of a pork burger, French fries and a creamy tomato and cuke salad. All dishes were plentiful and tasty. We shared a walnut pie which was full of nuts and thankfully not as sweet as a pecan pie, which was great. Would recommend this wonderful restaurant.
I've been eating at Riley's for over 30 years and it has never disappointed. My friend and I ate there at the end of September and I had Arctic char cooked to perfection with mashed potatoes and veggies. The chef is amazing. They have a wide selection of beers and wines. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend Riley's. It's near the corner of Oak and Park Streets
Burger was best I had in a long time! Yesterday I had mushrooms and blue cheese melted on the burger. Amazing! The Irish fries are awesome. Prices were good too. Great place! I'll definitely be back soon!
