Skip's Fish Fry

Camping near Oswego, had a craving for fish n chips, and found this place on yelp. Can't tell you much about the menu, didn't look at it, just walked in and asked for fish n chips. They bread and fry it fresh to order. Fish was light and flaky, and just the right amount of breading. Tartar sauce was a perfect mix of mayo, relish and spices. French fries were fantastic, they had the crumbly stuff on them that made them good and crispy. Chased it all down with a goose island IPA. If near Oswego, I encourage you to try this place out.

Lunchtime came and we decided to eat lunch at this restaurant. If you like fried seafood, this is your place. Can't say I would come back, but those of us that like fried seafood thought the food was great.

Came for lunch with some co-workers. Pretty quick service for a place that makes things to order. Staff was nice, restaurant had fun nautical decor. Plenty of seating in the back. Lunch special is $7.99 for fried fish sandwich and half pound of fries.

The fish was cooked very well: light and crispy outside, juicy and flaky in the center. I had some of the macaroni salad, and was pleased with the use of garlic-- it was delicious. The fries were prepared hot and fresh, and were the perfect texture to bite into.

The dining room was cozy and warm, with a fire place in the corner. The only suggestion I would have is cosmetic: the dining room could use a little refreshing. Walking from the cashier front end and its modern touches, the back dining room felt almost like a different building. I really liked the aesthetic of the front end cashier room ; if they would extend that theme to the dining room, it would be perfect!

Had a great lunch, will go again! :)
