Food was wonderful. Drinks were great too! Not disappointed!
Nice vibe. The Rooftop Lounge offers upscale food and drink- presentation was 10/10. If you are interested in an extensive drink menu this is your place. The staff were all very accommodating and the atmosphere was perfect for an evening outing.
Went here for the first time. Great cocktail menu and a great place to go before heading to a larger dinner or a good spot for small plates. Recommended to a few staff there that a small plate of Brussel sprouts or cauliflower would be a good addition since the only veggie on the menu is salad. Or even a veggie board with hummus. Few different options. Went to one place that incorporated cauliflower with Greek yogurt, mint, and pomegranate and I think that type of dish would be great here ! Recommend the spiked eggnog, negroni, or a Manhattan.
We booked a table many weeks into the soft opening, but the staff was still struggling to provide polished service. The waiter was well-meaning and friendly, but interrupted our conversation - continuously asking if we needed anything, despite the fact that we did not attempt to signal him once we were served. A wine glass with at least an inch of wine still in it was whisked away before we could stop him and the sparkling rose was served barely cool. The menu is small and would benefit from a light protein addition, such as a simple shrimp cocktail. We were taken aback by the inclusion of ketchup alongside the truffle fries. Some customers may request it, but please don’t serve it routinely. The charcuterie board could be elevated with a Spanish tapas approach- olives and Marcona almonds perhaps? We loved the setting - seeing the lights of Oswego- and we have high hopes that management will take more time to train the staff, including the sweet, but very young hostess at the lower level door. Marketed as a high-end venue, we expect a certain level of expertise. We hope our review will be taken as it is intended- we truly want to be regular patrons. With training of their pleasant and seemingly willing staff and some minor changes to the menu, this would be an exceptional experience.
My mom and I came here during their soft opening period and found an inviting space, fantastic drinks, and quality food. Come prepared to relax and enjoy! Take our advice - order one course at a time, share with your party, and take your time. It will be an enjoyable evening.
