I have had the pleasure of stopping in for the past 3 Thursday evenings. I've driven from Groton, MA and have been so happy to stop in on my way home.
With the challenges imposed by the pandemic, this place has done well to create a welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Jeff, MJ behind that bar and wait staff have all been friendly and great to me. The Angus beef burgers are awesome. I haven't tried the wings,... yet. :-)

3 stars because it’s Covid and things are tough to begin with. The atmosphere was great and everything else was not. In the end it was not worth what we paid, but the prices were reasonable to begin with.
It started with watered down drinks. Even the tea part of my captain tea was water! We went to Roadhouse 23 because that DAY I heard a commercial on the radio for prime rib dinner -which they weren’t serving.
It ended with our appetizer coming out after our dinner which also took over an hour to arrive. The portions were definitely on the small side, although cooked well.
They were clearly having a rough night -as the owner told us there was a calllout. (Which I feel is unprofessional because the customer shouldn’t pity the business) I watched a man wait over 10 minutes at the bar for a PICKUP.
I’ll direct this next part directly to you, Jeff. I understand you don’t know what to expect in covid dinning, however, if there is a call out and you don’t know how to wait on tables, you have to call someone else in. If they need help in the kitchen, as the owner you should be 100% prepared to jump in and assist. If your wife -I assume- doesn’t know how to make drinks, you MUST hire a bartender. Owning a restaurant is a huge privilege; it’s more hard work than profit. Also, please don’t tell us you were trying to give the other couple free steaks while we paid full price.
Our favorite thing about Oneonta is the unique small restaurants it offers. As a couple we are extremely understanding and patient in this college town. We love supporting locals, but at this point I would say it is not worth the drive out there.

Went here for a Paint & Sip Class this evening and had a fabulous time. Felt extremely safe! Everyone was wearing masks and practiced social distancing.
Ordered 2 appetizers (Sliders and Quesadillas) plus a White Claw and the tab was under $20. The appetizers were very good. The service was great and everyone was friendly. A very roomy and nicely kept place. Will definitely return!!
Bonus: Paint and Sip Class with Aja Correll was the Bomb!!! So much fun..thank you!!

Great bar and grill. Live music, healthy and heartier choices, deck, great staff, this place has it all.
