Great food! The price is bit at the higher level. But I think it's worth it.

Awang Kitchen started the journey from his own kitchen, its basically just for the family consumption just to cure the homesickness of missing Indonesian culinary in The U.S.

Awang's food is amazingly popular, but not only because he's the only Indonesian food catering service available in NYC. Simply because the flavorful strong rich taste that he maintain could remind and bring everyone who consume it brings them back to the lovely Indonesia.

Most Indonesian food in New York City are westernized, but not for Awang Kitchen. Awang Kitchen guaranteed will take you on journeys to Indonesia with their quality and flavors through the Indonesian cuisine.

Besides Indonesian food, Awang Kitchen also offers other Asian dishes, such as sushi, bibimbap and many more. No doubt for flavorful dishes coming out from Awang Kitchen.

The fritters are good, I really love the fried tofu stuffed with veggies. Ordered tahu gejrot too but it's too sweet and lest tangy as the authentic one. Overall this is a good restaurant but slightly lacking the authentic Indonesian dish

One of my favorite places for quality Indonesian food. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Staff treated us so kindly.

I love this place! As an Indonesian living in NYC, we are at a disadvantage compared to our fellow Southeast Asians when it comes to choice of restaurants. There are several other Indonesian restaurants in the city and Brooklyn, but they are mostly fusion. This is where Awang Kitchen stands out compared to the others. Awang Kitchen is bringing authentic dishes which makes me feel like I'm back home. Not only that the food is great, but the owner will make sure that everything is OK or if you need anything. Make sure to check their specials posted on the blackboard on top of their regular menu!
