This is a great spot. Ordered chorizo, al pastor, and carnitas tacos. They were each incredible and seasoned perfectly. Have been ordering and taking out from other mexican places in astoria for years. None of them top this place. Exactly what you want from a small restaurant like this for take out. Genuine people who care about the food they are putting out.

The food is the forte of this place, despite of having a Greek name it’s a traditional Mexican Restaurant, they can do a little bit more on the decoration and the prices (They are not the cheapest) but they have a fast service.
Make sure to try their al Pastor Tacos and Flour tortilla and steak (Tacos Árabes)

Love this place, al pastor tacos are just like the ones we get in Mexico City D.F. style for sure. Always great service and open late on the weekends.

Chill atmosphere. Good food. The employees speak enough english. The menu is not as informative in english as I would like. Open super late which is helpful. Not sure why a Mexican place is named Athens
