The Alcove

Me the wife and kids have been living in Skillman for about eight years now we can't believe we did not know of this Treasure of a restaurant we have so nearby, the food was just excellent and the service phenomenal.
Thank you Gill for the excellent service and to your team. Can't wait for my next meal.

Very nice restaurant, great food and lovely staff but if you are more than 4 people don't bother going together. When I called to make a reservation they said it was walk in, which is fine but unfortunately I didn't think to mention we were a group of 7 and the person on the phone didn't ask how many we were or to at least let us know it's a VERY small restaurant. 4 of our friends were at the bar around 6:45, we joined them around 7:30 and we were able to sit down to eat by 8:20-30. I'd only go back if we are 2 or 4 people max and either on a Monday or Tuesday night.

Wings were delicious., so were the steak lollipops. Sangria was really tasty.
But if you're really hungry some portions are quite small. Guacamole small, tacos, tiny. So you might need to order more.

Love the vibe of this place. Small but tables seemed to turn around quickly so nobody ever had to wait. Portions are super generous so come hungry, food is delicious. The Mojito I had was really great too!
