Classic old school diner, no frills and nothing fancy but that's okay. Good food is what keeps people coming back. Established since 1934, it's a local staple. Prices are reasonable, in line with other diners and inflation. No fancy plating here but if a diner is what you seek, especially after a night of being on the town or chilling with family and friends for brunch, this works. Corned beef hash was great and sausages are plump and juicy. Coffee is decent.
Good place to eat at. Mostly the Bacon & Egg sandwich with toasted white bread with cole slaw & pickles. Only for a versatile brunch to eat on a weekend. ????
Classic, friendly local diner. I believe this place has been in the area for over 25 years. Fast friendly service, really good music with a classic diner menu, excellent coffee, entrees and daily soups. I think the prices are very good for what they give you. From dining room to restrooms, it's always neat and very clean. Easy to get to by taking the M or R to 71st and Continental. There is even an elevator from the subway to the street level, for thoes of us with special needs. The atmosphere reminded me of a 60's inspired diner, with iconic wallpaper to match.
French toast tasted very plain, like bread just dipped in egg and fried. Had no taste! Coffee was bitter. Price of the food was high but the taste and quality was worth the cost. Very disappointed in meal and treatment. Was better couple of years ago. If I walked in with a suit, I would've been treated way better than just walking in with sweater and jeans.
