Taste of Samarkand

One of the best meals I had lately!!
My friend recommended me about this place, she is from Kazakhstan and she said they have some of their local food so we decided to try.
Unfortunately we did reservations for Friday so some of the things in the menu were missing.
The menu- if you are not familiar with the food you either gonna need to keep asking the waitress or Google the dishes.
Alcohol- they do not serve alcohol although they have wine cups on all the tables, they do allow (and advise) you to go next door and pick up whichever wine you want.
The service- very nice, better if you speck Russian.
The food- fabulous! Delicious! I don't think they have words for that... We order almost everything they had in the menu, appetizers and skewers, the prices were decent and like I said before- they didn't have everything because it was Friday. You could actually taste the freshness of the meat!
Prices- very very decent!

Bottom line- definitely coming back (not on Friday) to keep on trying their amazing food.

One of the best restaurants in Queens! I love this place. Foods are amazing delicious and waiters are very polite!!!

Atmosphere is nice, decor and design well made. Need to spend more time to organize waitresses to manage the floor and order taking procedure. Food is very salty. Need to pay huge attention in salt! Otherwise all good!

One of the best in NYC in terms of food. Some other posts refer to comfort. Not sure what they meant. It's an eating place, not sleeping. The staff is extremely friendly. That counts a lot. They don't deserve low ratings at all. 5 stars !!! I wish we had a casual restaurant such as this one in Montreal. Good luck Taste of Samarkand. Doing well !!
