Not bad at all great service nice bartender in afternoon
Something you'd likely only find in this part of Queens, with a blend of ingredients many would get wrong anywhere else..
Just a genuinely nice neighbor spot to go eat or have a few drinks with some friends, with a cool retro-vintage vibe, normally associated with parts of Brooklyn or downtown Manhattan, but done without being overly crowed, trying too hard or at crazy ridiculous prices.
Ida's is the perfect neighborhood bar. The staff are lovely, the food is fantastic (fried pickles!!) and the drinks are delicious (bourbon breakfast!!). There are no televisions (always a good sign) and the playlist is perfectly suited to a chill late 30's/early 40's crowd. So, you know, don't tell anyone because we want it to remain the best kept secret in Queens.
Enjoyed a Sunday brunch. I ordered the burger. My dining mate ordered the two egg breakfast. They offer mimosas and blood Mary's as well as a full bar. I wanted to love it since this is just around the corner, but I'd likely get something else next time. The burger didn't seem to have much seasoning. My dining mate enjoyed her meal.
I've been for post works drinks once - half price wine night. Ordered the fried pickles and they were good.
