Love this place. Food is great and the decor is really nice.

Nice, small local joint. Fresh food, friendly wait staff. There is a beautiful bar here. Definitely not great for large groups...maybe if you call ahead

Most of our dining out is done with our 6 year old girls. Unfortunately, Happy Jack's didn't cater to kids at all. There's no kids menu, no juice or milk for them to drink except what they have at the bar (orange and cranberry juice).
The food was good. The Dublin egg rolls, we're very good, and a very good burger. A beer was 4 bucks, so that's a good price and my mixed drink was 8 bucks.
I might go back there with my husband or with friends, but I won't go back there with my girls. It's pretty rare nowadays too find a casual restaurant that doesn't cater to kids at all. I was disappointed by that.

Happy Jack's burger is one of the best burgers in Rockaway, tied with Bungalow Bar's signature burger! Super cute atmosphere, friendly service, and everything I've tried is delicious. Burger is nice and juicy. Love this place.

Another enjoyable experience at Happy Jacks. You're always greeted at the door and given personable service. I knew exactly what I was getting. The chicken avacado toast. Then I noticed the menu change. Oh well, never fear, plenty of new options. I ordered the fish and chips but substituted a little healthy salad for chips. I'll remember to ask for dressing next time. Instead of small pieces the fish is big and beautifully coated and fried. The salad with chicken is a nice portion now and the chicken on a pretzel bun had nice flavor. I'm just not a fan of pretzel buns.
