Came... had high expectations because of the high price... God dang if I wasn't impressed. Amazing cocktails. Pricey but stopping in for one is well worth it.
So far, I've only been here for a drink.
I plan to get back shortly for a full meal.
The place is adorably decorated. It feels like a really trendy ski lodge. Dimly lit, lively, and fun. The bar area is thoughtfully separated from the main dining room. It's a little tucked away...so although I've been following them on social media since moving to the area a few months ago, I only just spotted the storefront on a side street as I was traversing from 30th to Broadway shopping.
We saddled up to the bar and ordered a bar and a hot cider with bourbon. Really delicious spiked cider. And they let you pick what you add to it -- Apple Jack something or other, Bourbon, or Fireball (i think?). It was seasonal, warming, and put the rosy right back into my cheeks after it had just finished thawing out from the cold outside.
The bartender was efficient, talkative, and was slaying the game - full bar, bar tables full, and he wasn't missing a beat.
Can't wait to go back - Definitely worth checking out for a meal, a drink, and/or a hang!
May not be easy to find but once you enter it'll become your go to spot. Whether you are alone or with friends, Sweet Afton will be the place to enjoy. Friendly and fast service make it a very pleasant place you can fill with memories.
Best burger, Mac and cheese in Queens and a array of amazing drinks all in one low key setting. Great for dates. No screens so come with a few good stories.
This place is amazing when it’s not too busy! Great food and cocktails, a young 20s/30s crowd. Forget it on Friday and Saturday nights unless you like crowds. Wait staff is super nice, great place for a date or to meet that special someone. Even though it’s off the Main Street it’s a super popular staple of Astoria
