Pollo Campero

Pollo Campero is an iconic family franchise from Guatemala, Central America that specializes in chicken. grilled or fried. they advertise a special family recipe is used.
I get it. It's there.
I loved the grilled chicken. its flavorful. I didn't care for the boneless wings. as we know, anything fried is bad for us but if you like fried food you will like the boneless wing selection. to me, it wasn't too bad. probably would taste much better if they grilled the wings.
I loved the corn bowl. that was terrific.
the beans are good. both black and red beans.
Pollo Campero is worth a stop over. the 7 subway line (103th street stop) is steps away from this establishment and if you're going to the Mets game, I recommend you buy chicken from here and place it in "see through" baggies, so security at the stadium can analyze what they wish they could bite in to. (smile). this practice at Citi Field applies to all food items entering the stadium. ie. corn salad or the beans.
rice and or french fries is served at Pollo Campero too I didn't try either but I'll assume it's delicious as the meal plan I had.
I highly recommend bringing your family, friends and visitors to New York, NY, USA sightseeing Queens, NY.
Pollo Campero, is clean and beautiful tipica items and pictures on wall of Guatemala, C.A. O' and when you place your order, you're given a number to place on a stem at the table and your food is served to you.
You'll love it. that a guarantee!

**Loitering was observed here. A woman walked in going to tables and those on the order line trying to sell tiny toys.

I originally came across Pollo Campero in a visit to Guatemala and I was excited to find their location in Corona, Queens. Fantastic chicken flavor in both their Peruvian rotisserie style and their original fried versions. I always get the combo with both chicken styles. And they have Cholula sauce in to-go packets to top it off.

Only fast food that treats their restaurant like a sit down restaurant, very nice. Your food is served on real plates and utensils, and the food is served like your at home. The chicken is a mix of Cuban style and KFC crunch.

Very well seasoned chicken..Tasty..Hot and delicious.with choice of sides.
The staff are helpful and bring your dinner to your table..A special service in a fast food restaurant... The place is quiet for being situated in a busy area...Clean and tidy with refills of soda & tropical drinks... clean bathrooms with a code number to enter..An enjoyable break from our busy New York City schedule.
