Although I live in Boston now, I grew in Queens, NY. I went to school here, had my first kiss at flushing meadow park, learned to drive in Astoria, and to this day call this place my home. I came back to Queens for a vacation and visited my old high school for nostalgia's sake. On the way back I craved a deli sandwich made with boars head meat like I used to order at the bodegas back in the day after school. See finding a place in MA that serves boars head is like finding a needle in a haystack. I spotted this tiny deli near the school but soon realized the only thing tiny about this place is the square footage. I was greeted as soon as I waked in and the staff was patient with me as I couldn't decide between all of the sandwich combinations. Finally I ordered a classic hero and was shortly presented with a sub filled with various freshly trimmed meats and cheeses, with various toppings and dressings. I was instantly taken back to the good old days where things were much simpler. They also had a lot of choices for drinks, I would highly recommend this place for a good lunch and good service.
